One Month

It has been 31 days since my last post.  I am reeling from this discovery.  I won’t make excuses, but I will try to explain briefly.  You see, I created this blog with a purpose: to reclaim my smile.

It worked.

In less than one year, I quit the job that threatened my well-being.  I set up goals and met them.  I started reading again.  I started writing again (here!).  I won NaNoWriMo.  I participated (read: walked) in a 5K to benefit breast cancer research.  I put myself out there.

On a larger level, I developed respect and caring for myself.  I have adventures.  I relax.  I sleep at night.  I stay hydrated.  I eat three times daily and exercise regularly.  I save money, but value time.  I smile.

I’m really quite happy now.

***Thank you, blogging.  Thank you, WordPress.  Thank you, readers.***

I’m in the process of evaluating where to go from here.  I still strive for constant improvement.  I still knock off annual bucket list ambitions.  Those are “smile scavenger” worthy topics.  But for now, I think I’ll focus on my creative writing blog.  Perhaps we’ll meet again…

  1. I think you have been a wonderful inspiration in the time I have been reading you, Amber. It has been wonderful to read how you have found “smiles.” It will be fun to read where you go and continue to grow from here. :-)

Feedback makes me smile! :)
